Chairman’s Message
Velammal Matric., Ponneri was a unique venture to reach out to children from vulnerable and remote areas and give them a head start. The fundamental objective was to nurture the holistic development of the students by providing them futuristic education coupled with robust sports and ECA/CCA programme.
In a span of almost 20 years, the school has developed into a premier institute transforming the remote region into an oasis of learning. The school celebrates milestones of significant achievements year after year testifying the students ride on the road a deserved success.
Committed in its endeavour to offer ‘worthwhile’ education, the school will script success stories in the approaching years.
Director’s Message
These words best describe the state of Velammal Matric., Ponneri which has set a benchmark among all the schools in the vicinity of Ponneri. The school offers a holistic education to shape the overall personality of the students imbibing ethical values and life skills. The school had progressed in all fields right from its inception in 2003. Children are given ample opportunities to develop their skills and strengthen their confidence to face the real world beyond their schooling. We believe in empowering children and our holistic and futuristic pedagogy complements this belief. With our committed faculty and supportive parents, I am sure our students will create and unfold the magic of excellence in school and beyond.

The fast changing complex society we are living in presents before us challenges as well as opportunities and we at Velammal try to foster the different facets of students to mould them into vibrant and responsible human being. Velammal Matric., Ponneri with its meticulous, systematic and methodological approach and ethos of a conducive environment of learning has transformed the educational landscape across the state. It gives me a great pleasure to witness our achievements right from the inception of the school. In all these years we have fostered a positive school culture promoting shared partnership with students, parents and the community. Our school that is run under the aegis of well-established Velammal Educational Trust has earned its own niche across the state. Our school provides an atmosphere to help students to channelize their potential in pursuit of excellence. While academic excellence is given a lot of importance, the school also thrusts equal importance to sports and other skills that prepare them for a life beyond school. Our well-placed students in various fields are a testimony to our long standing tradition of excellence. With our dedicated team of teachers and cooperative parents we are sure to build on from our past glories and take our mission of building better futures for the children who the leave the portals of our school.
